Below are our hotel recommendations for Malcesine. We highly advise choosing a hotel that is in the center of town so that everything is walkable. All the hotels below are in the center of town and are at most a 10-15 walk away from the main town square. You do not need to rent a car if you choose a hotel that is in the center of town. For any hotels or Airbnbs outside of the center of town, a car rental is recommended. ​
In addition to hotels. Malcesine has many Airbnbs to choose from as well. We highly suggest booking your hotel or Airbnb as soon as possible (even before your flights) as they book up months in advance for stays in June.
Keep on mind that a 4 star hotel in Italy is NOT the same as a 4 star hotel by American standards. These are medieval buildings in a small lakeside town in the Alps with sometimes very small, dated rooms. They are still very quaint and have everything you need but just don't be expecting the Four Seasons and you will be fine :) ​​
